Broadway News Broadway's For Colored Girls... Will Celebrate Box-Office Opening With Ticket Special

To celebrate the February 25 opening of its box office, the upcoming Broadway revival of For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/When The Rainbow Is Enuf will offer tickets priced $20.22 for one day only at the Booth Theatre. The 20-week engagement is set to begin previews April 1 and open April 20.

The Booth Theatre box office will open at 10 AM ET and patrons have until 6 PM ET February 25 to purchase a maximum of two tickets to any preview performance for $20.22 for select seats. To use the offer, ticket buyers must present the code FCG2022 in person at the box office or online through Telecharge. Following opening, the box office will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM.

Originally a choreopoem by Ntozake Shange, For Colored Girls... follows seven women as they share their stories and find strength in each other’s humor and passion through a fusion of poetry, dance, music, and song. It made its Broadway premiere at the Booth Theatre in 1976 and received a Tony nomination for Best Play.

In 2019, For Colored Girls… had an Off-Broadway revival at The Public Theater which won Lucille Lortel, Outer Critics Circle, and Drama Desk awards. Camille A. Brown, who served as that production's choreographer, will make her Broadway directorial debut with this reimagined revival. Brown is the first Black woman to serve as both director and choreographer on a Broadway production in more than 65 years.
