Industry News Broadway League to Resume Full Reporting of Grosses

Broadway will again release figures for each individual production, as was the norm pre-pandemic.

The Broadway League will resume reporting full grosses information for each Broadway production beginning March 22. The move is a return to the pre-pandemic practice, following the cumulative grosses reporting that has been released weekly since Broadway returned from the shutdown last year.

The March 22 report will include figures reflecting the performances given the week of March 14, along with previously unreleased data for the complete 2021-2022 Broadway season.

"With the optimism that comes as spring approaches and as the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic recedes, 16 new Broadway productions are preparing to open in March and April, and audiences from across the country and around the world are returning to New York," shares League President Charlotte St. Martin. "As we move forward into this more ‘normal’ time, Broadway sales figures will be reported on a weekly basis beginning March 22, 2022.”

Playbill will continue to report Broadway grosses as soon as they become available.
