Cabaret & Concert News Andréa Burns and Guests Plan Concert of Showtunes Sung ‘Latin Style’ The In the Heights star will host Broadway stars in the Greenwich Village concert.

Andréa Burns, who originated the role of Daniela in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony Award-winning musical In The Heights, and who recently starred on Broadway in On Your Feet!, will offer “hits from your favorite Broadway shows spun Latin style” in the March 20 concert Broadway Latin Party at the Sheen Center for Thought and Culture in New York’s Greenwich Village.

Promising to “infuse Broadway classics with Latin heat,” the 7:30 PM concert will showcase fellow Latino and Latina stage stars Janet Dacal (In the Heights, Wonderland), Eliseo Roman (On Your Feet!, In The Heights), and Henry Gainza (On Your Feet!).

Burns was recently featured in the all-female 1776 concert at Feinstein’s/54 Below in New York. She played Edward Rutledge to Carolee Carmelo’s John Adams.

Burns, who ruled the waves on Playbill Travel’s September 2016 Broadway on the High Seas 7 cruise to Italy will also be joining the featured talent performing on Playbill’s August 2017 Rhine River cruise, where she will be performing alongside Tony Award winner Faith Prince, Astaire Award winner Charotte d’Amboise, and Tony nominees Terrence Mann and Santino Fontana, with music direction from Seth Rudetsky.

Broadway Latin Party will be presented at the Sheen Center, 18 Bleecker Street, Manhattan, under the music direction of Kurt Crowley, conductor of Broadway’s Hamilton.
