Music direction will be provided by Kristen Lee Rosenfeld with choreography by Billy Bustamante.
Gold Mountain is a love story set against the backdrop of a pivotal event in America's history, the construction of the Transcontinental Railroad. The original musical celebrates the striving immigrant spirit, the redemptive power of love, and the ultimate nobility of self-sacrifice.
The production is spearheaded by Spike 150, Utah's Transcontinental Railroad 150th Celebration Commission initiative, in partnership with the Chinese Railroad Workers Descendants Association.
Performances are scheduled for May 8 and May 9 at 8 PM at the Regent Street Black Box at The Eccles Theater and May 10 at 7:30 PM with a May 11 matinee at Peery’s Egyptian Theater.
