Seeking Designers, Production for A Midsummer Night's Dream
Smith Street Stage is presenting its ninth annual Shakespeare in Carroll Park, a production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, and is seeking production and design personnel.
The production will run for two weeks in Brooklyn's Carroll Park in June and then move to the Mark O'Donnell Theater at the Actors Fund in Downtown Brooklyn for a week in July. Rehearsals begin the week of May 14, tech in Carroll Park is June 16-17, the Carroll Park run is June 20-July 1, Actors Fund tech is July 9-11 and the Actors Fund run is July 12-15.
The Company is seeking an Assistant Producer, Lighting Designer, Set Designer, Prop Designer, Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager. Personnel will receive a stipend up to $600, depending on the job. Applicants with experience with more than one of these jobs are encouraged to note as much in their application. Applicants will need to provide design and support for both performance spaces of the show's run. Additionally, please note any experience with outdoor or site specific theater.
