Seeking Collaborators: Trusty Sidekick Theater Company

Trusty Sidekick seeks collaborators for our 2018-2019 season and beyond. We are specifically interested in seeing a diverse group of performers for this audition. Artists of all races, ethnicities, gender expressions, abilities, and ages (18+) are highly encouraged to submit.

Participants in Searching for Sidekicks will join Trusty Sidekick ensemble members for a workshop which reflects our typical devising process, exploring form and content using a variety of theatrical disciplines. We are a highly collaborative ensemble and seek performers who reflect a wide range of skills and experience. Searching for Sidekicks is an opportunity for you to learn more about our process while we get to know you as an artist.

We are specifically looking for performers for four productions in our 2018-2019 season:

Up & Away (April-May 2018)
An immersive and multi-sensory theatrical experience about the Fogg Family’s 1000th balloon ride. Intended for audiences on the autism spectrum and their caregivers. Seeking actors who sing and/or puppeteer.

The Mendelssohn Electric (December 2018)
A narrative, theatrical, immersive concert about Fanny Mendelssohn, a composer and pianist in the early to mid 19th century. Intended for ages 10 and up. Seeking musicians and vocalists.

Untitled New Work (January 2019)
A new multimedia theatrical experience exploring difference and adapting to change. Intended for very young audiences (ages 2-5). Seeking actors with physical experience, musicians, and actors-musicians. Specifically seeking string and wind instruments that are evocative of another era (such as violin, harp, oboe, trombone, etc).

Shadow Play - Tour (Various Dates from September, 2018 - May, 2019)
Trusty’s first work for 2 - 5 year olds about a mischievous shadow that runs off to the moon. Seeking actors with physical experience.
