While writing/creating Frankenstein, Mary Shelley referred to it as the spectre that haunted her midnight pillow. This quote serves as a fertile jumping off point for a theatre piece investigating creation and birthing. What sparks a creation? And in the act of "making" - what haunts our dreams, jostles us in the moments between dreams and consciousness, and tickles us in surprising ways? Park Krausen invited twelve writers from around the globe to respond to this quote. In an immersive experience, six performers bring the audience into a space that feels more like a bedroom or boudoir than a theater. The play shifts the relationship between performer and audience in that it is interactive and often times requires direct address.
