As the Marketing Coordinator, you will assist the Marketing and Catalog Development team in the marketing and management of Rodgers & Hammerstein, the most successful partnership in American Musical Theatre, as well as our theater brand clients (Irving Berlin, Marvin Hamlisch, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Jason Robert Brown). In this role, you will provide operational support to events, campaigns, social media and departmental support.

Responsibilities:

1. Communications

  • Assist in day-to-day management and organization of internal communication
  • Assist in day-to-day communication with outside publicist
  • Support social media with execution, reporting, run analysis on posts. research data for future posts

2. Research projects to gather information to support for: Social Media, Events, Anniversaries, Promotions, Licensees and Public Relations

3. Cover and support day-to-day logistics and execution on: Social Media, Events, Anniversaries, Promotions, Licensees and Public Relations

4.  Finance

  • Budget Reconciliation
  • Liaison with Finance team
  • Department Expenses

5.  Departmental Support

  • Shipping and Mailing
  • Promotional Asset support
  • Oversee Archive
  • Oversee and organize department files
  • Support VP of Marketing and Catalog Development

Requirements:

  • College Degree and some combination of internships and work experience in the theater industry, preferably in a marketing capacity
  • Knowledge of and deep love and passion for Musical Theater
  • Base knowledge of the Music Industry
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage numerous complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of basic marketing principals and social media
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Power Point (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Experience with Sprout, Photoshop, iMovie, Spotify, Pandora and HTML is a plus
  • Research experience
  • Strong writing skills
