Creative and Technical Staff for Summer Program
The National Theatre for Student Artists (NTSA) is looking for directors, choreographers, music directors, technical theatre instructors, coaches (for acting, voice, and movement), and off-site mentors who are interested in joining an enthusiastic, dedicated, and artistically-rigorous creative team this summer. NTSA is a selective and residential pre-professional training program for students (ages 14-21) located in Western New York. We offer programs for student actors, designers, stage managers, producers, musicians, and directors (who work alongside our creative staff members as assistants). At the end of each session, students take their production to New York City for an off-Broadway engagement.
Qualifications: Staff members must have significant previous experience in theatre — either as a theatre teacher (preferably at the high school or university level), as a professional theatre practitioner, or as a graduate-level theatre student. BA/BFA in Theatre (or relevant area) preferred. Some previous experience working with students highly preferred. (Undergraduate juniors and seniors are invited to apply for coaching positions.)
Pay, Benefits, and Work Schedule: Staff members work approximately eight hours a day between 9:00 AM and 9:30 PM. Staff members receive single-occupancy accommodations in college dormitories/apartments and meals, as well as a travel allowance. Pay starts at $1,000 per three-week session for coaches; $1,250 per session for directors, choreographers, and music directors; and $1,750 per session for technical directors.
