Company Manager/Administrative Associate
Northern Stage in White River Junction, VT seeks a Company Manager for their 2018-2019 season. Northern Stage is a LORT D 240 seat regional theater in VT, producing 6 mainstage shows, 4 educational productions, and 4-6 other events year-round, with the mainstage season falling between the months of August and May. The Company Manager/Administrative Associate reports directly to the Associate Managing Director.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Company Management:

  • Coordinate housing and travel for all Northern Stage Employees, Contractors, and Guest Artists 
  • Liaise with NS Employees/Contractors for certain marketing and administrative needs: updating company contact sheets, bios & headshots for the program, production photos, etc. 
  • Help Coordinate volunteer events that involve the staff and show-specific guests 
    • Purchasing food and supplies for events, helping with setup and breakdown of tables and chairs, etc 
  • Coordinate food and set-up/break-down for company and show events: meet and greets, tech, strike, preview week, photo calls, company meetings, other events as needed 
  • Function as Company Housing RA 
  • Ongoing NS employee/contractor support 
  • Ongoing company housing and company car support 
  • On-call support in case of emergencies with Employees, Contractors, and Guest Artists 
Administrative:
  • Keep track of office and cleaning supplies/office equipment/IT needs & weekly Staples orders 
  • Assist Assoc. Managing Director with finance needs, including coding receipts, quickbooks entries, and reconciling credit statements 
  • Facilitate and administer room calendars and company calendar and other calendars as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in Company Management desired but not required. 
  • BA or BFA in theater desired but not required. 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively. 
  • Good time management. 
  • Capacity to solve problems. 
  • Good communication skills – Must be a team player. 
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others. 
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work quickly and accurately with attention to detail. 
  • Valid driver’s license. Transporting company members is a significant part of this position. 

The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a positive attitude and excellent organizational and time-management skills. This position works nights and weekends as the schedule requires. Standard work days are Monday – Friday, 9:30am-5:30pm. Starting salary for this position is $350/week, plus pet-friendly (up to 30 lbs.) housing valued at $200/week within walking distance of the theater (all utilities/internet included).
