Phoenix Productions is now casting all roles for an unconventional retelling of the Broadway hit "1776." The creative staff has set out to stage this important historical event through a modern/contemporary lens to show today’s audience a group of men they can connect to and to whom they can relate.

OPEN AUDITIONS:  Thursday, August 9th from 7:00pm-9:00pm  and Saturday, August 11th from 11:00am-1:00pm.

All auditions located at the Phoenix Performing Arts Center at 59 Chestnut Street, Red Bank, NJ 07701.

No appointment is necessary. All Roles Open. Actors of all ethnicities, ages 17 and up, are encouraged to audition as the production staff is seeking a diverse cast of performers to fill all roles.

Rehearsals begin after Labor Day and will be held at the Phoenix Performing Arts Center (located just feet from the NJ Transit Red Bank train station) on weekday evenings and weekends; performs Oct. 12 (10 a.m. & 8 p.m.), Oct. 13 (8 p.m.), and Oct. 14 (3 p.m.) at the Count Basie Center for the Arts (formerly the Count Basie Theatre) at 99 Monmouth Street, Red Bank NJ.

Please prepare 32 bars of a musical theater song in the style of the show (no rock or pop selections) and bring sheet music in the correct key.  A reading will be provided at the audition.
