Ensemble Studio Theatre's world premiere of Travisville, by actor and playwright William Jackson Harper (The Good Place, After the Blast), officially opens October 12 following previews that began October 3.

In Travisville, a Texas church community, untouched by the tumult of the civil rights movement, is compelled into a kind of reckoning once a stranger enters their lives.

Steve H. Broadnax III (The Hip-Hop Project) directs a cast made up of Stori Ayers (Pipeline), Sheldon Best (Sugar in Our Wounds), Denny Dale Bess (Year of the Rooster), Brian D. Coats (Jitney), Bjorn Dupaty (Office Hours), Lynnette R. Freeman (Luz), Nathan James (Qantico), Ivan Moore (Luke Cage), and Shawn Randall (Fish Men).

Performances are scheduled to run through October 28.
