The West End production of Alexi Kaye Campbell’s Apologia, directed by Jamie Lloyd, officially opened August 3 at Trafalgar Studios.
Apologia stars Tony and Emmy winner Stockard Channing as Kristin, a firebrand liberal matriarch and eminent art historian. A birthday gathering should be a cause for celebration, but the cracks in her family relationships are brought to the surface by the recent publication of her memoir.
The production will run through November 18.

Joining Channing is Laura Carmichael, best known for playing Lady Edith Crawley in Downton Abbey, who plays the role of Trudi. Rounding out the cast is Freema Agyeman (Sense8, Doctor Who, Torchwood) as Claire, Olivier nominee Desmond Barrit (Henry IV, Parts I and II) as Hugh, and Joseph Millson (The Last Kingdom, Banished) as Kristin's sons.
