Theater Mitu’s hyper-theatrical take on Death of a Salesman kicked off performances July 14 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in the BAM Fisher Fishman Space. The revival, which uses masks and inanimate objects to represent characters, asks what happens when you are written out of the American Dream.
The limited Off-Broadway engagement is scheduled to play through July 23.
Directed by Rubén Polendo, Death of a Salesman features a cast made up of Justin Nestor, Kayla Asbell, Corey Sullivan, Denis Butkus, and Attilio Rigotti. The original score is performed by Ada Westfall.
