The U.K. premiere of Spamilton officially opened July 24 at London’s Menier Chocolate Factory. The Hamilton parody from Gerard Alessandrini, the creator of Forbidden Broadway, crosses the pond following engagements in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Lin-Manuel Miranda’s juggernaut musical opened in the West End in December.
The musical spoof debuted in 2016 at The Triad, where it was originally scheduled to play only 18 performances, but continued to extend due to popular demand before transferring to the 47th Street Theatre/Puerto Rican Traveling Theater.
