To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Tony-winning musical Kinky Boots, the musical's current stars performed live on Megyn Kelly Today. Wayne Brady, David Cook, and Kirstin Maldonado offered a medley of tunes from the Tony-winning Cyndi Lauper score.
In the video below, Cook sings “Step One,” with Maldonado performing “The History of Wrong Guys,” and Brady delivering “The Sex Is in the Heel.”
Kinky Boots creators Lauper and Harvey Fierstein also appeared on the show and spoke about teaming up on the award-winning production and its legacy.
Kinky Boots celebrated its five-year anniversary on Broadway April 4 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. The 2013 Tony-winning Best Musical features a Tony-winning score by Lauper, a book by Tony winner Fierstein, and direction and choreography by Tony winner Jerry Mitchell.
