Broadway News Watch Two Numbers From Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville Before It Heads to Broadway The musical begins performances February 16 at the Marquis Theatre following a multi-city tour.

The cast of Escape to Margaritaville took a break from tech February 14 to offer a taste of two familiar Jimmy Buffett tunes that appear in the musical. Check out “Volcano,” the show’s Act II opener led by Andre Ward about, appropriately, a volcano disrupting the nonchalance of an island resort, above.

The Christopher Ashley-directed production begins previews February 16 at the Marquis Theatre, having previously made its world premiere at La Jolla Playhouse and subsequently playing a three-city tour.

Leading the cast is Paul Alexander Nolan as Tully, a bartender and singer who reevaluates his carefree life upon meeting Rachel (Alison Luff), a scientist visiting the island paradise.

The production, which also features Eric Petersen, Lisa Howard, Rema Webb, and Don Sparks, will officially open March 15.
