Continuing Best of Broadway week on The Today Show, title star Alex Brightman led the cast of Beetlejuice in “The Whole Being Dead Thing” May 2 on Rockefeller Plaza.

The number, which serves as the opening routine of the musical inspired by the Tim Burton film, featured special lyrics for the TV appearance, like: "I'm your pal / Ignore that smell / I think Al Roker is sexy as hell." Watch the full performance in the video below.

Directed by Alex Timbers, the musical earned a total of eight Tony nominations: including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical for Scott Brown and Anthony King, Best Score for Eddie Perfect, and Best Lead Actor in a Musical for Brightman.

Sophia Anne Caruso co-stars as Lydia, with Kerry Butler and Rob McClure as Barbara and Adam Maitland, Leslie Kritzer and Adam Dannheisser as Delia and Charles Deetz, Jill Abramovitz and Danny Rutigliano as Maxine and Maxi Dean, and Kelvin Moon Loh as Otho.

Rounding out the ensemble are Tessa Alves, Johnny Brantley, Ryan Breslin, Brooke Engen, Abe Goldfarb, Eric Anthony Johnson, Elliott Mattox, Mateo Melendez, George Merrick, Ramone Owens, Devin Roberts, Presley Ryan, Kim Sava, and Dana Steingold.
