Sara Bareilles and Jessie Nelson's musical Waitress continues to travel the country. While in San Diego, the stars of the national tour stopped by Good Day LA to talk about the sisterhood that comes with telling the show's story and provided a taste of one of the numbers.
"We rely on each other a lot," Christine Dwyer, who currently stars as pie baker Jenna, said of balancing the show's more difficult themes and the task of performing eight times a week. "You really rely on the other actors onstage to lift you up. When I'm having a bad day, these two [co-stars Jessie Shelton and Maiesha McQueen] support me, and vice versa."
Take a look at the clip, in which the trio also performers "A Soft Place to Land," below.
In addition to the national tour, Waitress continues to run at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre.
