Melissa Benoist, who made her Broadway debut June 7 as Carole King in Beautiful, recently appeared on Live with Kelly and Ryan. The actor, best known for her work on the CW series Supergirl, performed the King classic “I Feel the Earth Move.”

Benoist is playing a limited engagement at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre through August 4.
Prior to Supergirl, Benoist appeared on the showtune-laden Glee, playing transfer student Marley Rose. Her additional screen credits include Whiplash and crossover episodes of Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash (including the musical episode “Duet”), and Arrow.
The current company of Beautiful also includes Ben Jacoby as Barry Mann, Jessica Keenan Wynn as Cynthia Weil, Evan Todd as Gerry Goffin, Liz Larsen as Genie Klein, and Paul Anthony Stewart as Don Kirshner.
