Cabaret & Concert News Watch Megan Hilty and Cynthia Erivo Perform at the 2018 National Memorial Day Concert Hilty and Erivo were two of several Broadway stars at the annual concert.

Broadway and Smash star Megan Hilty went to Washington, D.C., May 27 to sing "God Bless America" in the annual National Memorial Day Concert. Watch her sing the Irving Berlin favorite in the video above.

Tony winner Cynthia Erivo (The Color Purple) was also on hand, performing "Requiem for a Soldier." Watch her in the video below.


The all-star line-up featured General Colin L. Powell, USA (Ret.) with performances by Tony, Grammy, and Emmy winner Cynthia Erivo; acclaimed tenor and Broadway actor Alfie Boe; Academy Award winner Allison Janney; three-time Grammy Award nominee Leona Lewis; Academy Award nominee Graham Greene; Tony nominee Mary McCormack; Emmy, Golden Globe, and SAG nominee John Corbett; film and TV actor Brian Tee; actor and singer Charles Esten (Nashville); and The Lt. Dan Band.

The evening also featured the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of pops conductor Jack Everly.

Also participating in the event were the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff with The U.S. Army Herald Trumpets, The U.S. Army Chorus and Army Voices, The Soldiers' Chorus of the U.S. Army Field Band, The U.S. Navy Band Sea Chanters, The U.S. Air Force Singing Sergeants, The Armed Forces Color Guard, and Service Color Teams provided by the Military District of Washington, D.C.
