Video Watch Lin-Manuel Miranda Get a History Lesson at the Hamilton Exhibition The Tony and Pulitzer winner visited Chicago to surprise a big fan of the musical.

While Lin-Manuel Miranda’s talents as a musical creator are unlikely to be surpassed by an elementary school student any time soon, he might not fare as well on history questions in Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? .

During a surprise visit to the Hamilton exhibition in Chicago, the show's creator and original star surprised presidential expert Macey Hensley, giving her a tour of the new museum—though she seemed more than ready to be a guide herself.

In one room devoted to King George, Hensely shares, “[He] had 15 children, just like President John Tyler.”

“I didn’t know any of those things,” Manuel says in response.

Watch Lin-Manuel get a history lesson above and end the visit with a duet with Hensley in “Common Sense.”
