The Be More Chill composer and star go inside the album of a different musical.

While Joe Iconis’ Be More Chill plays Off-Broadway at New York City’s Signature Theatre, audiences are about to familiarize themselves with Two-Player Game, a new album of Iconis songs sung by the composer himself and actor George Salazar (Be More Chill, The Lightning Thief).

Released July 27 by Ghostlight Records, Two-Player Game is currently available via physical, streaming, and digital formats. Produced by Ian Kagey and Kurt Deutsch, the album includes songs such as “Broadway, Here I Come!” from Smash, “Michael in the Bathroom” and the titular “Two-Player Game” from Be More Chill, “Tiny Short Little Song,” and “The Answer.”

The program was originally presented in concert at Feinstein’s/54 Below.

“I’ve done so many cabarets. I perform with a huge group,” said Iconis. “I was so excited to do something that was really intimate that was just two people that was just piano and voice.”

Watch Iconis and Salazar talk about making the album and hear a clip from “Two-Player Game” in the video above.
