The Muny's production of the Tony-winning Harvey Fierstein-Cyndi Lauper musical Kinky Boots, the second show of its summer season, kicked off performances June 19 for a run through June 25.
The limited engagement features Jerry Mitchell's original Broadway direction and choreography re-created by choreographer Rusty Mowery and director DB Bonds.
The cast is led by Graham Scott Fleming as Charlie Price, J. Harrison Ghee as Lola, Taylor Louderman as Lauren, Caroline Bowman as Nicola, John Scherer as George, Paul Whitty as Don, Victor Landon as Young Charlie, and Khaydn M. Adams as Young Lola.

The ensemble is comprised of Meryn Beckett, Callan Bergmann, Holly Davis, Ian Fitzgerald, Todd A. Horman, Valton Jackson, Patrick Oliver Jones, Omega Jones, Jacob Lacopo, Ross Lekites, Maggie McDowell, Michael Olaribigbe, Jen Perry, Kyle Post, Anthony Sagaria, Ricky Schroeder, Joey Taranto, and Zoe Vonder Haar. The company is joined by the Muny Teen youth ensemble.
The production also has music direction by Ryan Fielding Garrett, scenic design by Michael Schweikardt, costume design by Gregg Barnes, costume design coordination by Lindsay McWilliams, lighting design by Nathan W. Scheuer, sound design by John Shivers and David Patridge, video design by
Shawn Duan, and wig design by Kelley Jordan. The production stage manager is Nancy Pittelman.
The new jukebox musical featuring the songs of Huey Lewis and the News follows a Chicagoan whose failed band leads to him returning to corporate America.
