Based on Jason Grote's play 1001, the musical features a book and lyrics by Grote (1001; Shostakovich, or Silence), music by Marisa Michelson (Tamar of The River, Naamah's Ark), direction by Erin Ortman (For The Love Of, The Wading Pool), and choreography by Karla Garcia (Hamilton).

The cast is led by Sepideh Moafi (The Deuce, Falling Water) and Ben Steinfeld (Fiasco Theatre Company's Into the Woods). Completing the company are Jen Anaya (Tamar of the RIver), Ashkon Davaran (The Great Comet), Chad Goodridge (Passing Strange), Gabriella Pérez (Anything Goes national tour), Yassi Noubahar, and Graham Stevens (Peter and the Starcatcher).
