The NBA is taking over a new television time slot, and ESPN decided to enlist the talents of Broadway’s James Monroe Iglehart and his Freestye Love Supreme “bandmate” Utkarsh Ambudkar to announce the changeup.


The NBA will now broadcast on ESPN in Saturday primetime. As rapped by Iglehart:
From old school fans to new advanced stats
The fact of the matter is Saturday is where it’s at

Iglehart made his Broadway debut as the replacement for Mitch Mahoney in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and originated the role of Bobby in Memphis. He won a Tony as the Genie in Disney’s Aladdin. Iglehart’s rapping skills are currently at the top of their game, as Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson in Broadway’s Hamilton.
