On November 13, actor Cheyenne Jackson stopped by Harry Connick Jr.’s daytime talk show, Harry, to talk about his booming career.
A regular on American Horror Story: Cult, Jackson also stars in the recently released film Hello Again, an adaptation of Michael John LaChiusa’s Off-Broadway musical. But Connick Jr. wanted to play by some new rules, in which Jackson had to “Sing His Plug”; Jackson obliged and crooned some jazzy improv (see the video above) about all the ways his characters in the American Horror Story anthology series have died.
Jackson also spoke about home life and being a father to his one-year-old twins. “All I ever wanted to do was be a dad,” he said. “I tried to be super duper prepared. I took every class, I went to every seminar. I watched every YouTube video on how to do the perfect swaddle.
“As a performer, it makes my work mean more than ever because I have to provide for my family, but it also makes it mean less in that I don't sweat the small stuff anymore,” Jackson said in the video below. “If there’s a rift in the cast or something going on, things I used to get really into and waste energy on, it's not important. What’s important is my kiddos and my husband and their happiness.”
Jackson also spoke about his fandom for the talk-show host and performer, and his experience at a Harry Connick Jr. concert. Hear him talk about the details below:
