Classic Arts News Watch a Scene From the Royal Ballet's The Winter's Tale The romantic ballet, inspired by the Shakespearean classic, heads to movie theatres as part of the Royal Ballet’s Cinema Series.

The Royal Ballet’s Cinema Series presentation of The Winter’s Tale heads to movie theaters across the United States March 26, screening in most major markets March 27. Screenings will take place through June 12.

Check out the exclusive clip above of the production, with Sarah Lamb as Perdita and Vadim Muntagirov as Florizel.

The screening will also feature Ryoichi Hirano as Leontes, Lauren Cuthbertson as Hermione, Laura Morera as Paulina, and Matthew Ball as Polixenes.

It production, directed for the screen by Ross MacGibbon, features choreography by An American in Paris Tony winner Christopher Wheeldon, design by Bob Crowley, lighting by Natasha Katz, staging by Jacquelin Barrett and Christopher Saunders. Tom Seligman conducts Joby Talbot's score.

The Royal Opera House's current Cinema Series also includes upcoming screenings of the Bernstein centenary celebration, Anna Netrebko and Z!eljko Lučić in Verdi's Macbeth, and the Kenneth MacMillan-choreographed Manon.
