National Tour News Waitress Alum Matt DeAngelis and Jessie Shelton to Join Sara Bareilles Musical's National Tour The two will take on the roles of Earl and Dawn in the traveling production beginning in October.

Matt DeAngelis and Jessie Shelton will join the national tour of the musical Waitress. They assume the roles of Earl and Dawn, respectively, beginning October 9 at the Smith Center in Las Vegas.

When the two begin performances, DeAngelis will play husband to his real-life fiancé, Christine Dwyer, who takes over in the role of Jenna beginning September 28.

DeAngelis previously appeared in the Broadway company of the Sara Bareilles and Jessie Nelson musical understudying Earl and eventually taking on the role full-time. His additional credits include Hair and the national tours of Once and American Idiot. Shelton has appeared Off-Broadway in the Broadway-bound Hadestown, as well as Mint Theatre's Conflict and the musical podcast 36 Questions.

The touring company also includes Bryan Fenkart as Dr. Pomatter, Ryan G. Dunkin as Cal, and a series of Broadway Waitress alums: Charity Angél Dawson as Becky, Larry Marshall as Joe, and Jeremy Morse as Ogie.

Rounding out the ensemble come October 9 are Rheaume Crenshaw, Jim Hogan, David Hughey, Emily Koch, Max Kumangai, Tatiana Lofton, Gerianne Pérez, Brad Standley, Grace Stockdale, Alex Tripp, and Kevin Zak.
