The Vineyard Theatre has announced complete details of its 2017-2018 Off-Broadway season, which will launch October 26 with the world premiere of David Cale’s Harry Clarke. Directed by Tony Award nominee Leigh Silverman, Cale’s comedy follows a shy Midwestern man who lives a double life as highbrow Londoner Harry Clarke.

Tori Sampson’s This Land Was Made, set in a racially tense Oakland during the height of the Civil Rights movement, will be presented as part of the Vineyard’s Developmental Lab in July 2018.

The season also includes the previously announced world premieres of The Amateurs by Jordan Harrison, directed by Oliver Butler with performances beginning February 8. The final mainstage production of the season will be The Beast in the Jungle a new work — fusing drama, dance and music — by five-time Tony Award-winning director-choreographer Susan Stroman, Tony Award-nominated playwright David Thompson, and four-time Tony Award-winning composer John Kander, with performances beginning May 3.
