Fairview, directed by Sarah Benson and choreographed by Raja Feather Kelly, will now officially open June 17 (originally set for June 12) and will continue through July 8.

In Fairview, the Frasier family prepares for Grandma’s birthday—but not all is going according to plan. The new work takes on the naturalistic family drama, depicting the ways in which we watch and judge each other everyday, and investigating the impact of those actions.

MaYaa Boateng (The Village of Vale), Roslyn Ruff (The Death of the Last Black Man in the Whole Entire World), Heather Alicia Simms (A Raisin in the Sun), and Browning portray the Frasier family. Completing the cast are Hannah Cabell (As You Like It, Suzan-Lori Parks’ Venus at the Signature Theatre), Natalia Payne (The Last Match), Jed Resnick (Avenue Q), and Luke Robertson (feeling.).

Fairview will play at Soho Rep., located at 46 Walker Street, New York City.

Sibblies Drury returns to the company following her acclaimed earlier work We Are Proud to Present a Presentation About the Herero of Namibia, Formerly Known as Southwest Africa, From the German Sudwestafrika, Between the Years 1884–1915. In October, the world-premiere production of Fairview will travel to Berkeley Repertory Theatre, which co-commissioned the play.

The creative team is made up of Raja Feather Kelly (choreographer), Tony Award winner Mimi Lien (scenic designer), Montana Levi Blanco (costume designer), Amith Chandrashaker (lighting designer), Mikaal Sulaiman (sound designer), J. David Brimmer (fight director), Ryan Courtney (props master), Garrett Allen (assistant director), Will Duty (production manager), Terri K. Kohler (production stage manager), and Mariah MacKenzie (assistant stage manager).
