The comedic crime mocumentary series Trial & Error has been renewed for a 10-episode second season.

The show will return in midseason. All of the cast—with the exception of John Lithgow—is expected to be part of the second season, including Tony nominee Steven Boyer, Broadway alums Krysta Rodriguez and Sherri Shepherd, Nicholas D’Agosto, and Jayma Mays.

Created by Jeff Astrof and Matt Miller, Trial & Error follows a court case through its trial from start to finish. The first season focused on whether Lithgow's character murdered his wife.

Rodriguez has been seen on Broadway in Spring Awakening, First Date, The Addams Family, In the Heights, A Chorus Line, and Good Vibrations. Boyer's Broadway credits include I'm Not Rappaport and Hand to God, for which he received a Tony nomination.
