Broadway My Way is inspired by Headley's recent solo concert set list, which includes Broadway showtunes and some of Headley's personal favorites in new arrangements. Now in wide release, the album was previously available exclusively at Headley's fall concert dates in Philadelphia, Brooklyn, and Boston.

In addition to being a Broadway favorite, Headley won a Grammy Award for her 2009 R&B/gospel album Audience of One.
