Cabaret & Concert News Tony Nominee Max von Essen Will Offer Concert in Westhampton The evening will precede the Anastasia star’s return to Birdland.

Powerhouse vocalist Max von Essen, who recently returned to Broadway in the new musical Anastasia, will offer a concert in Long Island July 22.

The Tony-nominated star of An American in Paris will celebrate the best of Broadway and the American Songbook at Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center July 22 at 8 PM. He will be joined by musical director Billy Stritch as well as Steve Doyle on bass, Daniel Glass on drums, and Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf on cello.

The evening will also include highlights from the actor's theatrical career. Von Essen's additional Broadway credits include Evita, Les Misérables, Dance of the Vampires, and Jesus Christ Superstar.


Von Essen, as previously reported, will return to Birdland July 23 at 7:30 PM.
