Cabaret & Concert News Tomatoes Got Talent Will Play the Triad The annual contest celebrates women over 40 in the entertainment industry.

Twelve women who make their livings outside the entertainment world will compete in the 6th annual Tomatoes Got Talent contest, which celebrates the talents of women over 40.

Hosted by Randie Levine-Miller, the evening will be held April 15 at The Triad Theatre, 158 West 72nd Street. Co-produced by Levine-Miller and Cheryl Benton, judges include radio host Valerie Smaldone, theatre critic and former Drama Desk President Peter Filichia, and editor and reviewer Sandi Durell.

Performers will include 15-year-old vocal prodigy Anaïs Reno, who recently performed her third solo show at Feinstein’s/54 Below, and Sheree Sano, winner of the 2018 contest. The evening’s music director is Paul Chamlin.


Those competing: Maureen Griffin, the reigning Ms. New York Senior America; 82-year-old blues singer Evangeline Johns; Terri Levy, who has been a special-education teacher, a court reporter, and a realtor; Camille Diamond, a director of a community center that serves children and families; Kelli Maguire, who works at a Manhattan youth center; singing bank executive Amy Downey; government contract worker Rachael Epstein, who is a three-time cancer survivor; Delaine Douglas, who writes plays and short stories; Laura Lorenzo, an oncology nurse who is now a furniture sales person; Taffy Jaffe, a psychotherapist in her own private practice who started doing standup comedy after she retired; Christina Connors, a licensed massage therapist who also used to perform on cruise ships; and businesswoman and equestrian Lynn Henderson.
