Golden Globe, Olivier, and Evening Standard Award winner Tom Hiddleston will star in Jamie Lloyd’s upcoming production of Harold Pinter's Betrayal, part of the Pinter at the Pinter season.
Previews will begin at the Harold Pinter Theatre March 5, 2019, prior to an official opening March 13. The limited engagement will continue through June 1. Tickets will go on sale to the general public November 30.
Hiddleston, who returns to the London stage following his acclaimed Hamlet directed by Kenneth Branagh and his Evening Standard Award-winning performance in Coriolanus at the Donmar Warehouse in 2014, has been cast in the role of Robert. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
Hiddleston said in a statement, “Betrayal is a masterpiece. Jamie Lloyd’s Pinter at the Pinter season is terrific and I am so pleased that he’s asked me to be part of it.”

Betrayal, which charts a compelling seven-year romance, captured in reverse chronological order, was first produced by the National Theatre in 1978. The original cast featured Pinter at the Pinter company members Penelope Wilton and Michael Gambon.
Pinter at the Pinter is the unprecedented season of Harold Pinter’s work, marking ten years since the Nobel Prize winner’s death.
