Tickets are now on sale for Soulpepper on 42nd Street, a festival of new plays and musicals from Toronto’s Soulpepper Theatre Company at the Pershing Square Signature Center this summer. The event is expected to be the largest assemblage of Canadian artists in America during its sesquicentennial celebration: Canada’s 150th birthday as a nation.
Soulpepper on 42nd Street is scheduled to play July 1-July 29 at the Signature Center.
From the largest theatre company in Toronto, the festival will feature seven new Canadian plays and musicals along with a series of concerts and cabarets. The line-up includes Ins Choi’s Kim’s Convenience, Vern Thiessen's stage adaptation of Of Human Bondage directed by Albert Schultz, W. Somerset Maugham’s classic novel, Spoon River, an original musical based on the Spoon River Anthology by poet Edgar Lee Masters, Ravi Jain’s A Brimful of Asha, and the the family-friendly stage adaptation of Alligator Pie.
