Off-Broadway News The Marvelous Wonderettes to Resume Performances Off-Broadway The nostalgic jukebox musical featuring 1950s girl group hits will resume a month after ending its three-year run.

The Off-Broadway revival of The Marvelous Wonderettes is getting a reprieve after playing what was to have been its closing night performance January 6 on Theatre Row. The show’s producer, Tom D’Angora, has announced that the production will return for a weekly Sunday performance, beginning February 17 at 3 PM.

Recent cast members Kristen Alderson (One Life to Live), Michelle Dowdy (Hairspray), Amy Hillner Larsen (Hairspray), and Maggie McDowell (Disaster, Kinky Boots) will remain with the production. They are joined by Amy Toporek as the production’s understudy.

Created, written, and originally directed by Roger Bean, the original Off-Broadway production of The Marvelous Wonderettes ran from 2008 through 2010 at the Westside Theatre. The revival run began in March 2016, running in repertory at the Kirk Theatre on Theatre Row.

The Off-Broadway revival is directed by Michael and Tom D’Angora, with choreography by Alex Ringler and music direction by Benjamin Rauhala. The creative team is rounded out by Billy Davis (sets), Lois Catanzaro (lights), Jen Bullock (wigs), Marty Thomas (wig supervisor), Brendan McCann (props), and Krystal Roccaro (stage manager).
