The world premiere of Mrs. Murray’s Menagerie will begin performances March 26 at Ars Nova at Greenwich House.

Lila Neugebauer (The Waverly Gallery) will direct the presentation, created by The Mad Ones and Phillip James Brannon, Brad Heberlee, Carmen M. Herlihy, and January LaVoy. The four individuals will also take the stage as cast members alongside The Mad Ones' Marc Bovino, Joe Curnutte, Michael Dalto, and Stephanie Wright Thompson.

The show takes a look at a group of strangers’ differing American beliefs as they talk over donuts and cups of coffee—all while taking part in a focus group commissioned by the creators of a '70s children's show.

Mrs. Murray's Menagiere will feature scenic design by You-Shin Chen & Laura Jellinek, costumes by Ásta Bennie Hostetter, lighting by Mike Inwood, sound by Stowe Nelson, props by Emmie Finckel & Noah Mease, and wigs and makeup by Alfreda “Fre” Howard. Sarah Lunnie, Raja Feather Kelly, Lauren Port, John C. Moore, and Bryan Bauer will assist with the production.

The production will officially open April 8, with tickets going on sale February 26. Performances are scheduled through April 27. For more information, visit ArsNovaNYC.com.

The Mad Ones has been Ars Nova's company-in-residence since 2015. Miles for Mary, their most recent production, performed Off-Broadway at the Playwrights Horizons theatre last year.
