Tony and Grammy nominee Josh Groban, who made his Broadway debut last year in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, has joined the cast of the upcoming Netflix series The Good Cop, according to TVLine.
Groban, whose screen credits include Parks and Recreation, Life in Pieces, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, will play Tony Danza's son in the 10-episode dramedy.
Created by showrunner Andy Breckman, the series concerns obsessively honest NYPD officer Tony Jr. (Groban), who becomes unofficial partners with his father: a disgraced, former NYPD officer (Danza).
Executive producers include Breckman, Howard Klein, and Randy Zisk, who directs the premiere.
Danza has been seen on Broadway in A View from the Bridge, The Iceman Cometh, The Producers, and Honeymoon in Vegas.
