The Broadway musical Bandstand may have closed, but the band plays on.

“The Donny Nova Band Featuring Julia Trojan,” as they were billed in the show, will perform as a stand-alone combo 7 PM November 27 at Birdland jazz club in New York City. “Julia Trojan” was the character name of the show’s leading lady, Laura Osnes, who returns as singer for this concert.

Featured musicians include Corey Cott (as Donny Nova), Brandon J. Ellis, Joe Carroll, Joey Pero, Geoff Packard, and Nate Hopkins. They are promising to play “favorite tunes from the original score—plus some swingin’ standards and new surprises.”

Birdland is located at 314 West 44th Street in Manhattan just west of the Times Square theatre district. Tickets, which cost $35–$100 (plus a $10 drink/food minimum), can be ordered online or by phone: (212) 581-3080. The top price tickets include a meet-and-greet with the cast.

Laura Osnes has been a special guest performer on Playbill’s Broadway on the High Seas cruises. Cabins are still available to journey with Osnes on Broadway on the Danube River with Michael Feinstein November 3–13, also featuring Rachel Bay Jones, Julia Murney, Christopher Fitzgerald, Marc Kudisch, Brandon Uranowitz, and Seth Rudetsky.

Tickets are also now on sale for Playbill’s Broadway on the High Seas July 2018 cruise to Iceland, accompanied by Judy Kuhn, Christine Ebersole, Rob McClure, Jarrod Spector, Carmen Cusack, and Sierra Boggess.
