The eighth annual industry event TEDxBroadway is looking for new speakers to join their roster of talent this year.

The event poses the question “What’s the BEST Broadway can be?” to speakers and audiences alike, with talks taking place September 24 at the New World Stages in New York City.

“True to the TED spirit, we’re looking for speakers who have ‘ideas worth sharing,’” says Damian Bazadona, TEDxBroadway co-organizer and founder of Situation Interactive. “Last year, three out of the 15 speakers on our stage were people who shared their ideas with us through our online submission process. It was incredible to discover these original ideas and perspectives—ones we’d probably not come up with on our own.”

Have an idea for a talk? Anyone can submit their TEDxBroadway idea through March 4 at TEDxBroadway.com. While theatre is the main focus, ideas not directly related to Broadway will be considered as well.

Watch Tony-winning set designer and recently announced Oscar stage dresser, David Korins, talk about designing your own space in a simple three-step process as part of last year's TEDxBroadway below.
