99.5 WCRB Classical Radio Boston will offer a live broadcast of Tanglewood's August 25 The Bernstein Centennial Celebration. The concert, celebrating the 100th anniversary of Leonard Bernstein's birth, begins at 8 PM.

Those in the Greater Boston area can listen to the Boston Symphony Orchestra concert by tuning to 99.5 FM. The concert will also be streamed online at ClassicalWCBR.org worldwide.

The gala concert will feature several classical music luminaries, including conductors John Williams, Andris Nelsons, and Keith Lockhart, as well as cellist Yo-Yo Ma, violinist Midori, six-time Tony winner Audra McDonald, and vocalist Thomas Hampson. The BSO will also be joined by members of the New York Philharmonic, Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra, Pacific Music Festival, and Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival—ensembles with which Bernstein collaborated during his career as a conductor, composer, and educator.

The concert, also set to feature current Wicked star Jessica Vosk, On the Town Tony nominee Tony Yazbeck, and opera favorites Susan Graham, Isabel Leonard, and Nadine Sierra, will also be filmed for future broadcast on PBS' Great Performances series.

Audiences will hear selections from such Bernstein works as Candide and West Side Story, a new work written by John Williams, and some of Bernstein’s favorite classical works, including the finale of Mahler’s Resurrection.
