New Haven’s Yale Repertory Theatre has announced its 2017–18 season, which will be made up of five productions including a world premiere commissioned by the regional theatre titled Field Guide. Created by theatre company Rude Mechs, Field Guide will bring Dostoevsky's novel The Brothers Karamazov to the stage next winter.

Kicking off the season will be Paul Walsh’s translation of Henrik Ibsen’s Enemy of the People, to be directed by Artistic Director James Bundy. Performances will run October 6–28.

Also in the fall, Yale Rep. will stage Nambi E. Kelley’s Native Son, adapted from the novel by Richard Wright. Kelley’s acclaimed drama about freedom, oppression, and justice in Chicago’s South Side during the 1930s will play November 24–December 16.

Field Guide will start off the new year with performances scheduled for January 26–February 17, 2018. The new show will blend Dostoevsky's ideas and characters with stand-up comedy, pop music, and dance.

In the spring, the theatre will stage Pulitzer Prize winner Suzan-Lori Parks’ acclaimed drama Father Comes Home from the Wars, Parts 1, 2 & 3. With direction by Liz Diamond, performances are scheduled for March 16–April 17, 2018.

Closing out the season will be Guillermo Calderón’s Kiss. Set on a double date in Damascus, the play is a politically charged portrait of a nation torn apart by war. Directed by Evan Yionoulis, performances will run April 27–May 19.

Subscriptions are available online at YaleRep.org, by phone at (203) 432-1234, and in person at the Yale Rep Box Office, located at 1120 Chapel Street, New Have, Connecticut.
