The third annual Broadway Back to School benefit, which helps fund theatre education programs in underserved schools, will return to Feinstein’s/54 Below on September 24 at 7 PM.

[title of show] creator Hunter Bell hosts the concert event produced by the Educational Theatre Association and the International Thespian Society.

The evening will feature On Your Feet! star Ana Villafañe, Tony Award-nominated Come From Away cast member Chad Kimball, and Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita, as well as Ryan J. Haddad (Hi, Are You Single?), John McGinty (Wonderstruck), and 2015 Jimmy Award winner Marla Louissaint, who will be joined onstage by student performers from the International Thespian Society.

“Having the opportunity to experience theatre in school changes lives,” said EdTA Executive Director, Julie Cohen Theobald in a statement, “and with the help of theatre enthusiasts, we’re working to help more students have the experience of feeling accepted, valued, and part of something larger than themselves.”

Theatre fans can show their support by bidding in an online charity auction that includes such prizes as a private dinner with Hunter Bell and Susan Blackwell, four VIP tickets to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, a chance to co-host with Playbill’s Tyler Mount, and more.

Prizes have been donated by Playbill, Inc., Hunter Bell and Susan Blackwell, Disney Theatrical Group, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Samuel French, Inc., and The Musical Company. Bidding begins September 5 at chartityauctionstoday.com.
