Cabaret & Concert News Stars of Hamilton, Come From Away, and Waitress Will Celebrate the Songs of Lyons & Pakchar The young songwriting team will unveil new material and play songs from their album #Love(Live).

Performers from Broadway’s Hamilton, Waitress, Come From Away, and other shows including the upcoming revival of Once on This Island will share a stage August 28 to celebrate the music of youthful composing team Douglas Lyons and Ethan D. Pakchar.

The Songs of Lyons and Pakchar at Rockwood! will be performed at 7 PM at Rockwood Music Hall’s Stage 2 in Manhattan. Producer Kimberly Marable describes their style as fusing R&B, pop, and showtunes. The team will use the concert to unveil brand new material from various projects, and play songs from their 2013 album #Love(Live).

Among those scheduled to lend their voices to the concert are Alysha Deslorieux (Hamilton), Anastacia McCleskey (Waitress), Tamika Sonja Lawrence (Come From Away), T. Oliver Reid (Once on This Island) , Taylor Parker (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Mykal Kilgore (Hair), Katie Thompson (Giant), Julius Thomas III (The Scottsboro Boys), Anthony Alfaro (The View Upstairs), Natalie Weiss (Everyday Rapture), Angela Birchett (The Color Purple), Kyle Gabe Violett (Spring Awakening), Anita Welch (Bubble Boy), Bonnie Milligan (Gigantic), Ben Roseberry (Lion King national tour), Nicole Loewenstein (Polkadots), Jordon Bolden, Allison Lea Bender, and Jackson Perrin. Darius Smith will serve as musical director.

Since 2013 their music has been heard at Lincoln Center, Goodspeed Musicals’ Johnny Mercer Writing Colony, Prospect Theater Company (The Funeral), The Old Globe, Seattle Rep, and elsewhere. Their latest project, the musical Five Points, is scheduled to get its world premiere at Theater Latte Da in Minneapolis.
