Cabaret & Concert News Smash’s Jaime Cepero Will Debut Original Songs at Green Room 42 Songs About Anxiety and the Boys That Played Me will feature special guests Emma Hunton and Joel Perez.

Jaime Cepero, who created the role of Ellis, the scheming assistant to Broadway composer Tom Levitt on the NBC musical series Smash, will debut some original songs of his own May 20 at 9:30 PM at The Green Room 42.

Songs About Anxiety and the Boys That Played Me will feature special guests Joel Perez (Fun Home), Elijah Caldwell (Generations at Soho Rep), Emma Hunton (Wicked, Next To Normal, The Mad Ones), Michelle Dowdy (Hairspray, The Marvelous Wonderettes), Kevin Curtis (Invisible Thread), Darius Harper (Cirque De Soleil), Larry Hamilton (Madame The Musical), Tatiana Lofton (Oregon Shakespeare), Onyie Vivian Nwachukwu (Rent), and Merril Pfiffer (Mamma Mia!).

Cepero’s musical Francois and the Rebels, a punk rock re-telling of the 1791 Haitian Slave Revolution, was produced through MTF Musicals at Joe’s Pub. He recently appeared in the Dallas Theater Center production of Hair.
