The fall Broadway production of Bernhardt/Hamlet, a new play by Pulitzer finalist Theresa Rebeck, has found its complete cast. The world premiere from Roundabout Theatre Company is directed by Tony nominee Moritz von Stuelpnagel and is set to begin previews August 31.

Joining previously announced Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe, Tony, and Olivier Award winner Janet McTeer in the title role will be Dylan Baker (The Front Page, The Audience) as Constant Coquelin and Jason Butler Harner (The Crucible, Ozark) as Edmond Rostand.

Bernhardt/Hamlet will begin performances August 31 ahead of a September 25 opening. The limited engagement is scheduled through November 11 at the American Airlines Theatre.

Rebeck’s new play is set against the lavish, late 19th century production of Hamlet starring Sarah Bernhardt in her make-or-break role. McTeer, last seen on Broadway in Les Liaisons Dangereuses, will bring the legendary leading lady to life.

The cast will also feature Matthew Saldivar (Hamlet) as Alphonse Mucha, Nick Westrate (Casa Valentina) as Maurice, Paxton Whitehead (The Importance of Being Earnest) as Louis, Ito Aghayere (Junk) as Rosamond, Brittany Bradford (For Colored Girls) as Lysette, Aaron Costa Ganis (Lazy Eye, Monsters and Men) as Raoul, and Triney Sandoval (Marvin’s Room, Macbeth) as Francois.

The creative team will be made up of Beowulf Boritt (set design), Toni-Leslie James (costume design), Bradley King (lighting design), and Fitz Patton (original music and sound design).
