Regional News See Who’s Joining Davis Gaines in West Coast Man of La Mancha The singing actor will star in two limited engagements of the award-winning musical.

Davis Gaines, who performed the title role in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera more than 2,000 times during his runs on Broadway, in Los Angeles, and in San Francisco, will reprise his Ovation Award-winning role as Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha, which will be presented May 5–7 at the Valley Performing Arts Center in Northridge, California, and June 2–25 at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts in La Mirada, California.

Gaines will play Don Quixote (Cervantes) in a cast that also includes Nikki Crawford as Aldonza, Roland Rusinek as Sancho, Rich Hebert as Padre, Michaelia Leigh as Antonia, Jenny McGlinchey as Housekeeper, Jeff Skowron as The Barber, and Shannon Stoeke as Dr. Carrasco/Duke with Greg Butler as Governor/Innkeeper, Timothy Hughes as Pedro, Joe Komara as Tenario, Kailyn Leilani as Fermina, Rachel McLaughlan as Maria, Eric Stretch as Juan/Horse, Michael Stumpfig as Jose, Michael Thomas-Visgar as Captain of the Inquisition, John B. Williford as Paco/The Donkey, and Jenna Wright as Moorish Dancer.

Glenn Casale directs the production, which will feature musical direction by Jeff Rizzo and choreography by Patti Colombo.

Man of La Mancha was penned by Mitch Leigh, Joe Darion, and Dale Wasserman. The musical tells the poignant story of Don Quixote and his pursuit of the impossible dream.
