The 2017 Drama Desk Awards will be presented at the 62nd annual ceremony, hosted by Michael Urie, June 4 at Town Hall.

The Broadway revival of Hello, Dolly! led the pack with ten nominations (including nods for Outstanding Revival of a Musical and for its headliner Bette Midler), while the new musicals Come From Away and Anastasia trailed closely behind with nine nominations each.

This year's list included a notable representation of Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway productions, with Park Avenue Armory's The Hairy Ape and Atlantic Theater Company's The Band's Visit earning seven nods each. Additionally, The Playwrights Realm's The Wolves earned recognition for Outstanding Ensemble, while its director Lila Neugebauer is set to receive this year's Sam Norkin Award.

The Drama Desk Awards are one of the only major New York City theatre honors to place Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Off-Off Broadway productions and artists in the same categories. The awards are voted on and bestowed by theatre critics, journalists, editors, and publishers covering theatre, without any vested interest in the results.
